PhD.
I have a doctorate in law, specializing in intellectual property and indigenous rights. I have a keen interest in international issues, and in particular environmental problems and those concerning ancestral cultural wealth. The Law, the Earth and Humankind with it.
The main thrust of my doctoral research is the creation of a sustainable and appropriate legal framework for the cultural heritage of indigenous peoples. I have carried out extensive fieldwork in Peru, particularly in the Peruvian Amazon.

The main lines of the doctorate research are:
- can the intellectual property system be a relevant tool for protecting traditional knowledge?
- deep analysis of biopiracy and cultural appropriation cases
- creation of a legal framework to offer appropriate protection for the indigenous cultural heritage, including WIPO’s activities
